General:
Perennial herb from freely rooting, matted stolons; stems numerous, prostrate to decumbent, glabrous, 3-25 cm long.
Leaves:
Stem leaves egg-shaped to elliptic, 4-15 mm long, 5-to 7-nerved, rounded at the apex, slightly clasping at the base, glabrous.
Flowers:
Inflorescence 1- to 15-flowered; petals salmon-yellow, 2-4 mm long; stamens 15-25, longer than the sepals; sepals triangular to egg-shaped, 2-4 mm long, unequal, rounded to abruptly sharp-pointed, margins glabrous; styles 3, 1.5-2 mm long.
Fruits:
Membranous capsules, 3 mm long; seeds yellow-brown, about 0.5 mm long, transversely wrinkled and longitudinally finely-lined.
